Described as his own punch line, Bobby Collins' brand of humor has all the experience of a seasoned New Yorker. He left a lucrative VP position with Calvin Klein to pursue his comedic aspirations, and he has never looked back. He was Rosie O'Donnell's predecessor pick to host VH1's "Stand-up Spotlight", and had his own Showtime Special. Mr. Collins has opened for such legends as Cher, Tony Bennett, Julio Iglesias, and Frank Sinatra, just to name a few. He has performed in New York, Atlantic City, and Las Vegas increasing his ever-expanding fan base.
His newest CD "Mr. New York" and DVD "Live" have been described as striking and emotional as he invites the audience in like an old friend, describing life experiences that frequently highlight friends and family.
Bobby Collins' film credits include "Indecent Proposal" and "Car 54...Where Are You?" He also guest-starred on such television shows as "LA Law", "Sisters", "Herman's Head", "Big Bite", and "Hamish & Andy".
The New York Times said he is "The most natural comedian working today".
He is the "perfect fusion of Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis" said The New York Post. The Miami Herald said "Funny, funny, funny simply put: one of the best". Industry insiders agree that his career will someday be on the same level as the likes of Billy Crystal, Steve Martin, and Robin Williams.
