I tend to hang out at street fairs and festivals, you can meet the neatest people there. Recently when I was wondering the Treasure Coast Bike Fest that is exactly what happened, when I got talking with the vendors gathered for the charity event.
The first folks I meet were the ladies at ABonita Scarf, out of Merritt Island Florida. These two ladies were so full of happiness I couldn't help but stop by and chat. And of course with the Florida heat and the sweat dripping down my face I found I needed one of their lovely and chic ABonita Scarf.
There is a story there I soon found out as I walked away that these really great fashions were made after one of the ladies, Bonita, had gone through chemotherapy and lost her hair. Wanting to remain fashionable she had a friend sew her a scarf that she had designed. While wearing her scarf and getting lots of reaction and comments on wanting a scarf also, Bonita recovered from her cancer and started manufacturing her ABonita Scarfs to the public.
Today ABonita Scarfs are based out of Merit Island, but you can still get access to them on line at
http://www.abonitascarf.com/index.html
and they can ship you your favorite fashions.
Another booth that caught mey eye, was Bloomin' Plumes run by Linda Cappellano and her sister Kelly. Linda and Kellly set up this small cottage craft so that Linda can stay with her sister Kelly who is need of constant care.
Linda and Kelly have a wonderful array of flower pens to choose from with accessories incuding flower pot pen holders for you to plant your blooms between use. Linda is a snowbird that does lots of the street festivals with her sister and their emotional assistant Angel, who all contribute to keep the business BLOOMING.
