UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA/IFAS ENROLLMENT OPEN IN FORT PIERCEFORT PIERCE, Fla.-Personal Investing, Natural Resource and Environmental Policy and Plant Propagation are a few of the University of Florida offerings for the fall 2006 semester. The courses will be offered at the UF Indian River Research and Education Center, or IRREC, in Fort Pierce.
Twelve undergraduate courses will be instructed by UF professors and lecturers at the Fort Pierce location. Propagation of Horticultural Crops will be offered as a graduate course for those seeking a Master of Science degree in Environmental Horticulture. http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/ . The semester will begin August 23. Each course will be held in the early evening, with a low student to teacher ratio. Additional undergraduate courses will cover communications and technical writing, integrated pest management, agricultural price analysis, environmental nutrient management and principals of food and resource economics.
Enrollment for UF courses at IRREC is open now and will continue until August 18, 2006.
The University of Florida at IRREC has offered degree programs for seven years. Bachelor's degree programs in Agribusiness Management and in Environmental Management are available to students with an Associate in Arts degree. Master's degree programs include Agricultural Education and Communication, Entomology, Environmental Horticulture, and Environmental Science. Certificate programs include Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Education and Communication, and Entomology.
