VERO BEACH, FL (May 9, 2007) - Indian River Mall will host the annual Hurricane Preparation Expo on Saturday, June 9 th from 10am-5pm. Area residents will receive valuable advice on how to prepare their homes and families for the impending storm season. Tony Carper, Indian River County Emergency Management Coordinator, Mike Lyons, Chief Meteorologist WPBF-Channel 25, and Christine Begazo-Kelly, from the Indian River County Extension Service are some of the local experts that will be on hand to answer questions and meet the public. Event sponsors include: The Home Depot, Florida Shutters, Expert Shutters and Christian FM.

"We are pleased to host the 2007 Hurricane Expo and encourage all residents to attend. Local agencies will be on hand with advice on preparation, safety, and awareness," said Ursula Gunter, Marketing Director at Indian River Mall. The Expo hours are 10a.m. to 5p.m. and admission is free.
