Connected for Kids is Seeking Information for Local Directory of Youth Services in IRC
The Connected for Kids Coalition is an information sharing and collaborative vehicle for all organizations that work with children in IRC. It was formed in 2007 as a response to growing feedback that parents did not know about many area opportunities for their kids, and organizations themselves were not fully informed about the services available so that they could cross refer children to other programs outside their scope of expertise.
Currently Connected for Kids (CFK) is working on the production of a Directory of Youth Services in IRC. Our hope is to distribute this publication in the fall of 2009 through the school system, daycares and other agencies so that all parents in IRC will have one copy. Copies will also be distributed to all agencies and organizations so that they may be knowledgeable and be able to properly refer parents to appropriate resources in the county.
We are currently seeking information from all agencies, organizations and businesses that serve children (0-18 years old) so their information may be included in the directory. If you are interested in being included in the directory please contact Darlene Forage at
darlene.forage@211pbtc.org or call her at (772) 567-8900 x26. Deadline for submission into the directory is Tuesday, April 15 th.
