This blog is to keep the community involved in the arts at the Treasure Coast Art Assocation (TCAA) where you will find something for everyone. TCAA is located at 223 Avenue A, Fort Pierce, FL 34950. It is open most weekdays from 9:30AM to 4:00PM. TCAA is a not-for-profit organization formed as the Fort Pierce Art Club by A. E. Backus in 1955, changed its name in the 1980's. It continues to provide art lessons and art studio space to artists along the Treasure Coast.

Forget the Oils - Try the Computer

Eight people learned how to take the computer from the dull text generator into the future where it is the paintless airbrush and smugless pencil / pen & ink.

Both Mario Mutis and Don Rhodes showed that computers aren't for youngster only when it comes to learning something new. In this case a new medium for creating art.

Dr. Trase Rowland explained provided the public with information on the proper software -- Free Software, also know as public domain, still abundantly available for individuals to use to create art.

The demonstration was given at the Treasure Coast Art Association in both English and Spanish. Future workshops are planned.
