Blog Entry 2 of 2 Florida Judge denies Emergency Motion after Father

I am writing becasuse I went to the State of Pennsylvania to find out what was taking place as my daughter resided in Pa with her father since 2001. The state of Florida retains jurisdiction over our daughter Darcia Veta Ann Bronson. I found an article in the Elmira Star-Gazette in regard to Matthew Schlicher a Wellsboro man jailed on sex charges located in the December 8th Issue of the Elmira Star Gazette and have since submitted this in the Florida case 02-DR-1469. The Honorable Judge Barbara Bronis did grant and order setting asside the stay and set this for case management and a Conference Hearing was set for January 4, 2007. I filed papers in this case as to the Step mother Sylvia Schlicher filed in Pennsylvania a complaint for Custody of our daughter where the Honorable Judge Robert E. Dalton has already signed an order along with the Honorable Judge Ben Bryan that Florida retains Jurisdiction over custody matters. After I retruned to Florida from my visit up to Pennsylvania I now have to turn around and go back up to appear in court on December 19, 2006 at 11:00 am in Pa and this is causing me undue hardship during the up coming Christmas Holidays. The Father of our child placed our daugther with his half sister Patty Shabloski and these arragements were allowed and no dependency action occured in the State of Pa. The Sister was shielding her half brother when she did not tell me that he was under investigation for molesting the step daughter.

It has been some time since I wrote a blog as I have been busy praying and yes packing as we are going to be moving out of Fort Pierce after six years at the same address. The reason for our move .... comes later..

I created a couple of blogs in regard to my daughter and my battle to get her ordered back to the State of Florida from the State of Pennsylvana.

I also posted an article that was printed in the Elmira Star Gazette on Dec 8, 2006 in regard to my daughter's father being incarcerated in the State of Pennsylvania on Sex charges. I also mentioned I made two trips up to the State of Pa to find out what really was going on with my daughter.

Here it is the middle of Feburary already and I am still waiting on a Court Hearing to be set again on this matter. I am hoping and praying this will be set on the docket in March or April because I am still holding off on the plane tickets I normally would purchase in Febuary for her to fly down for the summer with this matter pending before the courts.

The last court hearing I went to was on January 4, 2007. The judge requested that I make contact with DHS in the state of Pa and the hearing now has to be set through Department of Human Servicies of Tioga County Pa's legal counsel.

The Court order said this was to be set on the next available docket once I did as the order requested. I did make contact with DHS supervisor and she sent a letter back which I provided to the court here in Florida.

I did also post a blog calling all angels .. and was going to try to raise money for legal counsel but it did not seem to get anywhere as I dont really know how to go about doing something like this.

I know that yes the court system handles a lot of cases and some probably worse than my case is in regard to the matter of a child and custody.. I understand that the docket is sometimes is on overload .. So I wait and pray that with patience the end result will be what is best for my daughter.

In the meanwhile, I end up getting a visit from the Department of Children and Families and the Fort Pierce Police. The call to the abuse hotline came in on January 23. 2007 as a possible child removal ..

How can they remove a child that does not live in my home? The person making this call had to be under the impression that I had my son living with me when he does'nt.

First, I currently do not have any children residing at my residence. It is just myself and my husband residing at our apartment. My son lives with his father and my youngest daughter of course is in the state of Pennsylvania. My oldest daughter is 20 years old and lives on her own.

Anyway, I opened my door to this investigator from the Department of Children and Families and this Fort Pierce Police officer, James Minton. But Before I even opened my door , our apartment manager asked them who they were looking for and she informed them that it was only myself and my husband living at the residence. That there are no children residing with us.

I was not suprised by their visit to my door in fact I said., " I could see this coming more false allegations!"

The First allegations were made against my son in the summer of 2006 which were investigated by the Department of Children and Families and this case was closed out as unfounded and referred back up to the State of Pennsylvania DHS.

This is when my daughter's father , who resides in Pennsylvania ended up under investigation which eventually led to his arrest and incarceration. I do have friends who also call and check on his status as to if he is still incarcerated.

I currently have no contact to find out where the criminal case is at up in the State of Pennsylvaina against Mr. Matthew Schlicher. I wonder now just how long this criminal case will go as if he does not plea then it could be a year or more before the case goes to trial.

The more recent allegations to the abuse hotline were directed towards my husband here in Florida that he made an admission of guilt in front of a police officer in the summer of 2006 that he was the person to inappropriately touch my daughter and he made a promise that it would not happen again . Also that I was locking my son in his room during the summer of 2006.

Really now where would my husband be if he made any statement of the such in front of a Police officer? Of course this case again is being closed out as unfounded.

These allegations coming now in January 2007 but were suppose to occur during the summer of 2006? I am sure that most would agree that if you had knowlege of any such abuse to a child during the summer you would not wait until January to call in the abuse?

This call being made in January 2007 and if this person had any real knowledge as to my home situation then why did this person wait until now to make the call to the abuse hotline and why not during the summer of 2006? I know why because the allegations are false and made up in an effort to cause me trouble with the court case here in Florida .

My ex- husband and I both reported our concens to a counselor at Treasure Coast Counseling in the summer of 2005 in regard to my daughter's behavior in an effort to prevent false allegations from being made against our son and yet they still came.... prior to her flying down for the summer of 2006.

I infromed the DCF investiagtor that was at my residence on Jan 23, 2007 that my husband was not even home the day that the police were out to my residence last summer and his work record at his former employer could confrim this. My husband could not make any statement or admission if he was at work all that day and all that night .

I had reported to the Fort Pierce Police during the summer of 2006 that my son was a victim during the summer of 2005 and the summer of 2006 from his sibling sister's instigation of inappropriate behavior.

I also reported to the Police that both myself and my ex husband, Brandon's father, reported to the Counselor our concerns and provided the Police with the counselor' s name.

I again provided the investigator from DCF with the counselor's name as I had also provided this couneslor's name to the DCF investigator that was at my residence before Darcia even flew to Florida for the summer of 2006.

It is my belief that persons up in the state of Pennsylvaina are calling friends or family in Florida asking that they call in False malicious reports to the abuse hotline .. I thought the laws changed to make it a felony crime to call in false malicious reports to the abuse hotline ..

I wonder now ... will they try yet again with more false allegations before I finally get before the judge to reslove this matter ... ? If they do they are only suceeding in making things look bad on them for calling in reports that are false.

Even if nothing is ever done to stop the false allegations from being made.. At the very least I am sure that the Hotline could be contacted and that the Abuse Hotline call center could have notations on file that no children reside at my residence.

I just feel that persons that call in false reports impede the Police and the Department of Children and Families ablity to resond to other more urgent matters when persons call in false reports that can clearly be seen as false ...

I am also requesting in a Motion to keep our new address confindential from Mr. Matthew Schlicher the father of my daughter and his family up there ...

My concern also comes as to if I were to remain living where we are now and the Judge were to grant me the relief and custody of my daughter that they would continue to call in false reports ... in an effort to continuely harrass the outcome of the matter.

This is LaShauna Schlicher Darcia's oldest sister and I would like to have some connection with my little sister if it's ok with you. I know everything that is going on because everything that happened had happened to me too, but the charges were dropped. I wish I could see her at least in photos if that's all right, but i miss her so much and I hope she knows that. I love you Darcia.
