Ft. Pierce, FL.On Saturday, September 13, 2008, from 1pm - 5pm, join us for the 1st Annual Treasure Coast Beer Fest, held this year in Historic Downtown Ft. Pierce. With over 50 different micro-craft brewers represented making up hundreds of choices for tasting, everyone is sure to be fully satisfied. This is a charity event benefiting Learn To Read of St Lucie County, Inc.

Treasure Coast Beer Fest will be held on the first level of the newly built Ft. Pierce City Parking Garage behind City Hall, rain or shine. Advance tickets may be purchased for $25 or $30 at the door. Tickets are available through our sponsors: Roy's Liquors, Inc., P.P. Cobb General Store, A Picky Gourmet Supply, Great Spirits and online. Space is limited and everyone is encouraged to buy theirs now to ensure admission! This includes all beer tasting samples, water, and event tasting mug. Event will be limited to 600 people. The Sandhurst Hotel & Suites is the official hotel of the 2008 Treasure Coast Beer Fest offering $79 room rates during the festival. Treasure Coast Beer Fest is a non-profit group of individuals whose only desire is to enjoy flavorful beer and spread the good word to all. This event, organized by Greg "the Beer God" Heller, has partnered with the Treasure Coast BrewMasters by having their 2006 Brewmaster of the Year -- and now going pro with The Vine & Barley (opening in October) -- Mark Carbone on our planning committee. By hosting this annual event, these members of the greater Treasure Coast community are eager to give back to the community by raising money for a noble cause.

Learn to Read of St. Lucie County, a non-profit organization and recipient of the United Way, focuses in teaching adults 16 and over to become better readers through tutoring one-on-one and computer generated programs. Learn to Read was founded in 1979 and operates solely on donations.

Founded in 1994, The Treasure Coast BrewMasters Club is a group of homebrewers that believe "the more you learn about homebrewing, the less you know". Meetings are every 2 nd Tuesday of the month. Annual membership is $25. www.tcbrewmasters.com
