Beginner Sailing Camp for Kids!

What:	NEXT › ‹ PREVIOUS Pre-requisite: 8-13 years old and able to swim. $225. NOTE: This is a 2 week camp -- there is no class the week of July 4th. This goal oriented course teaches younger kids the basic sailing skills and principles. Curriculum includes learning the names of boat parts, finding wind direction, steering with a tiller, practice tacking and jibing, crisis management, and additional sailing skills. The class includes 'classroom' instruction under the Jaycee Park pavilion, and actual sailing experience. This course is taught in Optimist dinghy class sailboats. The class enables the kids to become familiar with water safety and dinghy sailing, and to feel confident on the water.
