Pre-requisite: Completion of Beginner Sailing or similar experience at Instructor discretion. Ages 8 - 13. $150.

One Week afternoon Camp July 7th - July 11th.

This course is designed to prepare sailors for Optimist racing fleets. Students will be introduced to the Racing Rules of Sailing, and intermediate racing techniques. Instructors will teach skills including sitting on the rail, using tiller extensions, roll tacking, equipment care, changing sail controls and sportsmanship. Sailors will practice starting and sailing race courses.
