FPRA TREASURE COAST CHAPTER INSTALLS NEW OFFICERS

PORT ST. LUCIE - Celebrating its 25-year anniversary, the Treasure Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) installed the 2008/2009 slate of officers at a luncheon Tuesday at Indian River State College's Schreiber Center in St. Lucie West.

The new officers are: President, Linette Trabulsy, South Florida Water Management District; First Vice President/President Elect, Bryan Beaty, Indian River State College; Second Vice President/Membership, Nancy McCarthy, APR, Freelance Public Relations Consultant; Secretary, Samantha Kayser,pH Creatives; Treasurer, Debi Malcomson, Riverside Bank; and Immediate Past President, Adrienne Moore, APR, CPRC, A. Moore Communications Strategies.

In addition, the following directors and committee chairs were installed: Programs: Cara Perry, Florida Atlantic University; Accreditation: Debra Banta, APR, Martin County School District; Communications: Erick Gill, St. Lucie County; Image Awards: Dorothy Kamm, Yates & Associates, and Robin Delgado, Accident Law Offices of Phillip DeBerard; Media Forum: Beverly Bevis Jones, APR, BB Jones Communications; and Indian River Council: Laura Kelley, APR, Lifelong Learning Institute at Indian River State College.

For their contributions over the past year, several chapter members were recognized at the luncheon: Rising Star Award: Debi Malcomson, Riverside Bank; Community Service Award: Stacy Ranieri, The Firefly Group; Innovator Award: Linda Probst, Global Design, Inc.; Member of the Year: Catherine Whitaker Chaney , St. Lucie County Fire District; Virginia Moulton President's Award: Linette Trabulsy, South Florida Water Management District; and Adrienne Moore Award of Excellence: Bryan Beaty, Indian River State College.

Founded in 1984, the Treasure Coast Chapter of Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) serves the needs of public relations professionals in Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River counties with the goal to advance the profession of public relations, promote high professional and ethical standards and build the reputation of the profession on the Treasure Coast.
