Enjoy an Evening of Classical Piano at IRCC

Founding members Joel and Deena Wynne of the Lifelong Learning Institute at Indian River Community College will present a three-part classical music series beginning Thursday, May 31 in the intimate 100-seat Wynne Black Box Theatre on IRCC's Main Campus in Fort Pierce. Longtime friends and supporters of the arts and education, the Wynne's are selecting classical musicians who are new to Treasure Coast audiences.

Accomplished pianists Kirk Whipple and Marilyn Morales, duo pianists, will open the series on May 31 with a 90-minute performance beginning at 8 p.m. Whipple and Morales are on the Kennedy Center Approved Artist roster, State of Florida Touring Artists roster, State of South Carolina Artists in Education roster, State of Louisiana Touring Artists roster and are the Executive and Artistic Directors of The Unconservatory, a nonprofit musical organization. The husband and wife duo have toured 32 states and several foreign countries, most recently performing in the south of France.

Enjoy a summer evening of classical piano benefiting Lifelong Learning opportunities at IRCC. Refreshments will be served in the adjacent Art Gallery from 7:15-7:45 p.m. The show will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $8. To purchase tickets, call 1-866-866-4722 extension 7880. The performance is suitable for all ages, open to the public, and handicapped seating is available. Additional Summer Sunset Series performances are scheduled for June 21 and July 19.
