The St. Lucie County Education Foundation will present the 2008 Student Scholarship Awards on Thursday, May 8, 2008, at the Pelican Yacht Club at 5:30 p.m. The winners will be announced at that time.

This year there will be 48 scholarships awarded through the St. Lucie County Education Foundation, totaling over $40,000. These scholarships are possible due to the generosity of many local businesses, organizations and individuals. One of the goals of the Education Foundation is to promote and recognize excellence in education through scholarships for higher education. The annual College Scholarship Guide is produced as a public service by AT&T, the Mallonee Family Foundation and the St. Lucie County Education Foundation for area public high school seniors to receive information about these and other scholarship opportunities.
