The St. Lucie County Education Foundation presented the 2008 Student Scholarship Awards May 8, 2008, at the Pelican Yacht Club.
This year 48 scholarships were awarded through the St. Lucie County Education Foundation, totaling over $40,000. These scholarships are possible due to the generosity of many local businesses, organizations and individuals. One of the goals of the Education Foundation is to promote and recognize excellence in education through scholarships for higher education. The annual College Scholarship Guide is produced as a public service by AT&T, the Mallonee Family Foundation and the St. Lucie County Education Foundation for area public high school seniors to receive information about these and other scholarship opportunities.
