Book Buddies Get Excited About Summer Reading

Students from Saint Anastasia Catholic School are excited about their summer reading list! This book club hasbeen meeting every week to read and discuss books that will prepare them for first grade. These book buddies enjoyed meeting at the Fort Pierce Community Center to watch a special reading program presented by the public library. Then, they created their own puppets and acted out a book by Tedd Arnold called Super Fly Guy. They have also gotten together at one another's homes to read books and work on hands-on activities that reinforce reading comprehension. Creating a book club for children is a great way to beat the summer heat and truly enjoy the gift of reading!
