A Miracle on 33 rd Street...

700 South 33rd Street has been a historic landmark of education for many St. Lucie students over the years. It doesn't take anyone long when inquiring about Palm Vista School, that someone says, "I went to school there, I worked there, I graduated there...What...they are closing?!?"

It doesn't seem like much of a miracle, right? After serving the community for over 30 years, it seems unbelievable, that Palm Vista School has closed their doors. However, a few years ago, when the newly formed Christian private school, Golden Rule Academy, expanded enrollment to one hundred students, the increase took it's toll on their former location at 3891 Edwards Rd. at Christian Fellowship Alive Church. After this summer's contract negotiations, the future of Golden Rule Academy seemed to be facing down the same disappointing direction as Palm Vista School.

That's the truly miraculous part! Last month, the ministry organizations met together - they brainstormed, they prayed, and they hammered out details and after successful negotiations, Golden Rule Academy has assumed the former Palm Vista School campus.

Though the memories may seem bitter-sweet to all...at the close of one historic chapter of the Palm Vista School legacy, we also venture into a "Golden Era" filled with many bright futures for those who will attend in the years to come! We are counting our blessings and miracles one day at a time!

Golden Rule Academy has graciously offered former Palm Vista Students open enrollment and GRA has also offered a $500 "WE ARE MOVING" DISCOUNT on TUITION for the academic year 08/09 for registrations in August. Golden Rule Academy has an excellent curriculum program for K through 12th; including music, arts, sports, electives, enrichment activities, and much more!

G-Force Aftercare is the after school hours program for public or private school students, K through 8th grade; with homework help, an indoor gym, and X-box game room, student clubs, and extra classes in karate, archery, cheerleading, and basketball.
