St. Andrew's Students Cast Their Ballots
Contributed by: Lisa Vrana on 10/6/2008

St. Andrew's Academy students voiced their opinions in a mock presidential election. Students have been learning about the 2008 election by comparing and contrasting the candidates. They were then asked to go to the polls, set up in the lunch room. Representatives from the local election office brought in real voting machines for students to feel what it was like to vote. Students in preschool through 8 th grade elected John McCain as their president. Students were also asked to also vote on some school issues. The 8 th grade class assisted younger students at the voting machines but were careful not sway their opinions.
