FORT PIERCE - Since schools will be closed for a Teacher Work Day, St. Lucie County's Parks and Recreation Department will host a Halloween Camp on Friday, Oct. 31 from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the new Havert L. Fenn Center, located at 2000 Virginia Ave.

Designed for ages 5 - 11, the cost to participate in the Halloween Camp is $20 per child, and includes lunch and snacks. Registration for the camp is required before Thursday, Oct. 29. To register call: (772) 462-1792 or (772) 462-1521.

Parents are encouraged to have their children wear or bring their Halloween costumes. Activities include: a costume contest for best, scariest and funniest outfit. Please make sure the costumes are appropriate to the age of the child. Participants will also be engaged in indoor and outdoor play, as well as arts and crafts.
