"The Women of St. Lucie County"
The
Lafferandre Gallery is proud to present the fifth annual multi-medium exhibit by women artists who reside in St. Lucie County, "Women of St. Lucie County". While it includes both amateur and professional artists, it is designed to encourage amateur artists to come out and exhibit. The show is an opportunity for people to see some of the great talent we have locally that they would not normally get a chance to view. There are no age limits for the show and our youngest artist is Katie Huggins, a college student who works in glass.
This exhibit grows every year. This year we have thirty artists scheduled to exhibit. The women will be showing original glass work, sculptures, jewelry and photography in addition to the traditional oil, acrylics and watercolors. We have added a people's choice award this year, and everyone is invited to come and view the work and vote for their favorite piece.
The exhibit is to benefit
Big Brothers Big Sistersof St. Lucie County in partnership with United Way and Children's Services Council. Every year the Lafferandre Gallery donates a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the artwork to a charity.
