DESIGN WITHIN REACH CELEBRATES SUMMER TRAVEL STYLE BY ROLLING OUT SENSATIONAL AIRSTREAM TRAILER
Day-long event includes trailer-themed block party and a bike ride with the Freak Bike Militia

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (June 19, 2008) -- To kick off the season of summer travel, Design Within Reach, the fashion-forward furniture studio located at 230 Clematis Street, will close the 200 block of Clematis Street from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24 to host "Cycle and 'Stream," a day-long event featuring a luxury Airstream trailer fully outfitted by Design Within Reach. The event also features a trailer-themed outdoor block party and a bike ride with the local Palm Beach County division of the Freak Bike Militia.

Making just one stop exclusively outside of the Downtown West Palm Beach studio, the dramatic, compact 16-foot, limited edition Airstream trailer was designed by renowned San Francisco architect Christopher Deam and features accessories from the stylish retailer, plus a Sony sound system and flat-screen TV, dramatic flooring, textiles by international designer Paul Smith and countertops by acclaimed American and European designers. To complete the summer scene, Design Within Reach will create an outdoor living space where patrons of Clematis are welcome to relax outdoors or lounge in the Airstream's spacious interior. The vehicle is available for purchase for $49,066.

"To kick off the season of summer vacations, our Downtown West Palm Beach studio is showcasing one of the most contemporary Airstream trailers for luxury travel," said Adelaide Price, studio proprietor of Design Within Reach. "We're inviting the entire community to see the Airstream and join us for a day distinctive, high-energy activities."

In the evening, Design Within Reach encourages guests to dress in their best trailer-themed attire for an outdoor block party from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the 200 block of Clematis. The event, which is free and open to the public, includes family fun, games and plenty of food catered by Rocco's Tacos and Tequila Bar.

Plus, Design Within Reach will host a bike ride with the Freak Bike Militia, the national bicycling group with a penchant for pedaling in costume on an impressive variety of custom-made bikes. The bike ride starts at 7 p.m. at the intersection of Southern Boulevard and Flagler Drive, and ends about 8 p.m. at the store. More than 100 riders are expected to participate. Following the ride, patrons can view the decorative bicycles lined up along Clematis Street.
