FORT PIERCE - St. Lucie County's Parks and Recreation Department will host its first senior theme party luncheon of the season at the Havert L. Fenn Center on Tuesday, Oct. 13 from 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. The cost is $12 per person.
The menu will include a pork BBQ platter and two sides prepared by ''Herbeque BBQ,'' first place winner of this year's Taste of St. Lucie, taster's choice award. Lunch also includes beverages and dessert.
Entertainment for the event includes an interactive performance by The Sunshine Strollers - a local square and round dance club in St. Lucie County. Additionally,
the Heritage Bluegrass Band will be providing a
knee-slapping, toe-tapping, good time. The Heritage Bluegrass Band plays real
bluegrass and old-traditional country music, having performed throughout Florida at various venues and events such as the Heritage Center in Vero Beach and Yeehaw Junction's Annual Bluegrass Festival. The group is also slated to be included in the upcoming documentary: ''Florida Cracker Movie - Cowboys and Cattlemen of Florida'' at Adams Ranch.
