Friday the thirteenth may prove to be unlucky for some, but for
Fort Pierce resident Lyndon Chan it may prove to be one of the best days in his life. It will be the official
DVD release date of the Asian Vampire Thriller, Zen and the night before, its World Premier 8 PM at the Boynton Cinema in Boynton Beach. And on Saturday April fourteenth there will be a DVD
Signing & Casting for a bit part in Zen-Part Two "Count Osaka" at Pro Karate & Boxing Supplies in Lake Worth.
Of course the movie stars Mr. Chan as the evil Count Osaka. He claims to be no relation to Jackie (Chan) "but then again" he claims "You never know!"
Zen is actually a serious action/drama set in the 1750's in Japan. The story is about a young 15 year old samurai warrior, by the name of Zen. He lives with his Master Lord Ito and his beautiful young granddaughter Keiko, who is also 15. Zen sees Keiko as a sister, but she sees him as her future husband. This causes them a few problems. Together the two of them learn a lot about life's relationships, love, hate and Count Osaka. The entire movie was shot right here in South Florida.
Chan states "We want people to come out and see our movie. If they can't then go to the store, go on-line and buy it or rent it! If the community supports us by, buying or even selling the movie, then movie making will continue here in our own backyard." The producers of the movie already want to build a studio/theater here in the area to make movies and show them as well.
