IRCC Presents a 'Nun' Too Serious Production
Contributed by: Robert Lane on 5/24/2007

Indian River Community College OnStage presents the award-winning hit musical comedy, Nunsense, which begins when the Little Sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook has accidentally poisoned 52 of the sisters. In order to raise funds for the burials, they decide to put on a variety show in the school auditorium, which is currently set up for the eighth grade production of Grease. Here we'll meet Reverend Mother Regina, a former circus performer; Sister Mary Hubert, the Mistress of Novices; a streetwise nun from Brooklyn named Sister Robert Anne; sister Mary Leo, a novice who is a wannabe ballerina; and the delightfully wacky Sister Mary Amnesia, the nun who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head.

Nunsense will be performed at the McAlpin Fine Arts Center on June 7, 8, and 9 at 8 p.m. and June 9 at 2 p.m. Tickets are just $12. Purchase your tickets at the box office located in the McAlpin Fine Arts Center lobby, at the IRCC Main Campus at 3209 Virginia Avenue in Fort Pierce, Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., or by phone with VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Call the McAlpin Fine Arts Center Box Office today at 462-4750 or toll-free at 1-800-220-9915 to reserve your seats, as shows sell out quickly.
