Operation Christmas Child Kick-off - The community is invited to the kick-off of this year's shoebox collection for Operation Christmas Child at GRACE Emmanuel Church. It will be a party atmosphere with a six foot sundae; information about Operation Christmas Child will be available and everyone interested in learning more about this wonderful organization is welcome to attend. Boat Smart/Safe Boating Class - Port St. Lucie Power Squadron is offering a two session Safe Boating Course on Saturday, 10/8, from 9am - 4pm and Sunday, 10/19, from 2-4pm at First Presbyterian Church of Port St. Lucie, 2240 SE Walton Rd., Port St. Lucie. The course will cover basic seamanship, navigational aids, knot tying, and much more. Passing grades may lower insurance premiums; students completing the course will meet the Florida F.W.C. boat license requirements, and for new members, the course cost will be credited toward your PSL Power Squadron membership fee. Tuition is free and $35.00 covers course materials; 2nd family member is only $15.00 for the exam. Advance registration is requested. Additional courses on GPS, VHF Radio and Weather are planned. The 8th Annual Body Network Convention, "Out of the Boat and Into Kingdom Influence" hosted by Rick and Liz Kendall. Dr. Myles Munroe, Founder, President, & Senior Pastor of Bahamas Faith Ministries International, as well as a multi-gifted international motivational speaker, best selling author and business consultant will be the distinguished guest speaker at this year's event. Local Christian Businesses & Ministries are invited to participate in the Expo Hall which will open at 6pm. Care Net's 5th Annual GOLF "FORE" LIFE Tournament will be held at The Saints at Port St. Lucie Golf Course. At previous events everyone walked away with a prize and this year's event is bigger and better! Prizes include Door prizes, Hole-in-one prizes, longest drive, and closest to the hole, plus trophies for first 3 teams.
