I Will Always Love You
Contributed by: Barbara Mechanic on 7/1/2008

Today has been a happy but sad day. Today marks (9) years that my fair lady has departed this life to be with the Lord. She passed on 7/1/99 in Ft. Pierce, Florida. Her name was Mother Bernett Major Mechanic. She was and always will be MY FAIR LADY. She was the kind of person that loved young people and tried to encourage us to be what God would have us to be. She comforted us when we were hurting, She cried with us when we were sad. She chastised us when we were wrong because she loved us. She loved us with a Godly love.

I miss her but today I spent this time encouraging others as she would do. I did not have a pity party (as I have done in the past). Instead I tried to brighten someone's day. I bought flowers for someone I considered a friend and I felt better. I encourage you to do the same.

When we are hurting, try not to hurt someone else. Consider how you feel and try to brighten their day in spite of how you are feeling. Every time you think of that loved one that is gone, do something nice or say something nice to someone else. As a matter of fact, let it become a ministry to help someone in the same situation you were in. As a matter of fact I want to thank my newly adopted spiritual Mother, Pastor Lucinda Rich .She is the Pastor of End Time Deliverance Ministries in Ft. Pierce. Without being aware she has become a mother that I can look up to. She is beautiful inside and out, she is real and her love flows freely from heart to heart. I pray God continues to bless and keep her. I love you Pastor Rich (and yes I tell her that when I see her).

When you read this letter, please leave a comment, if you have time. It would make my day.

Lovingly and sadly submitted

That was a heartfelt story about someone you honored, I am sure she was quite a role model. We all need good role models for our lives! It's obvious that she impacted your life and that it is now being carried on with your Teen Group!
