Spring Into Gardening Festival - Plant Lovers Fun
Contributed by: Dotty Greene on 4/16/2007

St. Lucie Master Gardeners want to celebrate the rites of Spring, with your help. Plan your Saturday, April 28th, as a day for the Spring into Gardening Festival. There will be activities that the whole family can enjoy. Best of all, you be able to buy plants that were carefully grown by the Master Gardeners.

Where else can you find plants which have been hand propagated, then sprinkled - 7 seconds every 7 minutes - for 6 indulgent weeks, then allowed to mature under watchful, caring eyes in the shade house? Take a look at the photos to get a real picture of their growth. Check out that mist box...it's a plant lover's dream.

At the Spring Into Gardening Festival you will also find interesting garden related vendors, educational displays which will keep you thinking, a workshop where you can sample yummy exotic fruits grown in our area, and there will be some most original garden entertainment. Those of you who have never seen a plant fashion show, this could be your lucky day. It falls perfectly into the "Now I Have Seen Everything" category!

This day will be living proof that Master Gardeners will do just about anything to help this community fall in love with nature. So plan to visit the growing area and see what is happening right here in St. Lucie County. The sale will run 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28th, at St. Lucie County Extension Office - Shade House Area, 8400 Picos Road, Ft. Pierce.
