Contributed by: Erick Gill, SLC Media Relations on 3/18/2008

FORT PIERCE - The Lakewood Park Branch Library will host the monthly meeting of The Garden Gathering on Monday, April 7 at 1:30 p.m., focusing on water quality issues.

As part of the monthly meeting, Linette Trabulsy, community outreach specialist for the South Florida Water Management District, will conduct a workshop on water conservation. Her presentation is a "must see" for anyone concerned with the diminishing fresh water supply in St. Lucie County. Trabulsy will provide handout information for those who attend.

A group of people who enjoy learning about Florida gardening, The Garden Gathering is always looking for new members.

These programs are free and open to the public.

The Lakewood Park Branch of the St. Lucie County Library System is located at 7605 Santa Barbara Drive in northern St. Lucie County. For more information visit www.st-lucie.lib.fl.us or call Carol Shroyer at (772) 462-6870.
