You are invited....
Spring into Gardening Festival
Saturday, April 26, 2008
8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
8400 Picos Rd., Ft. Pierce
Master Gardeners have been preparing a wonderful day for YOU!
With all the ideas that the word festival calls to mind, this will be a terrific day! Wonderful locally grown plants will be for sale. Landscape plants that Master Gardeners have cultivated all winter are ready for purchase. Suitable for varying conditions, the colorful and healthy plants may be salt, drought, or wind tolerant. Master Gardeners will be available for information, as you make your selections.
A dozen or so vendors will provide specialized plants and garden related items that vary from orchids to bromeliads to clever plant containers. Other booths will include soil testing and water conservation projects.
Keep in mind that this is a festival, a "happening". There will be rare fruit tasting, a plant fashion show (really!), and a raffle. Prizes for the raffle include a creatively painted rain barrel and a membership to Heathcote Botanical Gardens. And when you are ready for a little change of pace, Master Gardeners will lead tours of their new demonstration gardens.
By the way, this is a FUN fund raiser. Proceeds allow St. Lucie County Extension and Master Gardeners to give back to our communities. This event especially benefits our scholarship program.
All in all, it will be a beautiful day to celebrate Spring. We hope you will join us for this festival.

This is a great day for anyone that even likes to look at flowers or plants. You can buy beautiful & heathly plants at great prices.

The Master Gardener's are an exciting part of the community. It's a busy life and I hate missing some of their interesting classes.

We all need more events like this one. Lots of free information and horticulture advice, along with inexpensive plants. Come early to get the best.
