Master Gardeners' Sale: Place for Promising Plants

Promises... we all make them. Like making a promise to do some garden renovations. Last spring, when things were bone dry, maybe you promised yourself to select some new plants that really fit the Master Gardener's expression: Right Plant, Right Place.

Or maybe you thought you'd like to get something in the ground during the rainy season, and look, the whole summer has slipped right by. Maybe you're the super organized gardener who knows an excellent plant when you see one and you just love to bring home a new something special every once in a while.

Your long awaited chance is here: The St. Lucie County Master Gardener 25th Annual Plant Sale promises to be a great opportunity for gardeners. Lots of plants for your selection and garden advice based on up-to-date research from the University of Florida will be available. Bring a bit of dirt from your yard for soil testing. Wear some comfy shoes to enjoy a tour of the demonstration gardens. Stash away a few extra dollars to participate in the raffle.

Oh yes...our Master Gardeners are always up to something new! Diana Riordan, Dale Galiano, Sharon Cottrell and Ina Nance have been working on an edible garden at the Extension Service. On Saturday they will present a workshop on creating an Edible Landscape.

Promise yourself to arrive early for the very best selection!
