On June 23, 1998, Melanie's Tanglemaster's, a full-service salon on Midway Road in Fort Pierce, opened its doors for th first time.

Celebrating their 10th anniversary, the staff at Melanie's is thrilled to acknowledge the loyality of their clients, without whom, reaching this milestone would never have been possible.

"I became a cosmetologist with the dream of one day owning my own full-service salon," said Melanie Smith, owner/operator of Melanie's Tanglemasters. "Originally there were four stylits and one nail technician. Today, there are six stylists, three nail technicians, a massage therapist and an estetician. My dream has come true."

Melanie's staff includs Suzanne Neal, managing cosmetologist, Marydonna McGee, cosmetologist, Lori Lepere, cosmetologist, Sue Cockey, cosmetologist, Dee Ann Stanley, cosmetologist and nail techician, Ray Anne Stanavich, nail technician, Phyllis Payne, nail technician, Treena Wise Hinkel, massage therapist and Kathy Harrell, estetician.

"I'm most appreciative to the hard-working employees for their many years of commitment. Most have been here for the entire 10 years," said Melanie. "Four of the stylists were born and rased in Fort Pierce and are graduates of St. Lucie County schools and Indian River Community College."

Setting examples, their commitment to the community is above reproach, donating to Alzheimer's Community Care, Arc of St. Lucie County, Humane Society of St. Lucie County, John Carroll High School and more. On countless occasions they have worked closely with Locks of Love, the agency that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medically related hair loss. And because their roots are firmly planted in St. Lucie County, "the girls" also take on the challenge of assisting families during the holidays.

Melanie's Tanglemasters is a professional, friendly, family-oriented hometown salon located in beautiful White City, across from the historic White City Mercantile. The salon offers haircuts, color, perms, stlying, manicures, pedicures, artificial nails, massages and facials and is open Tuesday through Saturday. They accommodate wedding parties, proms and graduations.

Join "the girls" as they celebrate 10 successful years in St. Lucie County. For information, call (772) 465-1333.
