Locally known artist, Elouise Longstreet turned ninety as she danced to the rhythm of the Jamaican djembes, afuche cabasa, flute, chimes, maracas, saxophone and guitar played by the jazz group, Coffee Beans.
This festive occasion was hosted in her son's home. Her son, James Longstreet and his wife, Robin, owners of the RAMP RAW BAR presented a feast pleasing to the eyes as well as the palate. The guests enjoyed mounds of crabs, shrimp, bacon wrapped scallops and oysters on the half shell prior to the main course of Mediterranean chicken murano and CONCH salad.
The party culminated with the cutting of the two tier mod striped and polka dotted chocolate cake. A poof fairy top ornament promised, "If you want it you got it...POOF you are twenty nine!"
Elouise truly had her wish come true by being surrounded by three generations of family and several friends. Her four children, Julia, Tiffany, Denise and James continue to be impressed by her bubbly and youthful spirit. All her grandchildren hold special places in her heart and she loves the sweetness of the great grandchildren.
