On July 10, 2009, the command at Coast Guard Station Ft. Pierce changed. This is a normal change occurring about every three years. Former Station Commander CWO Todd Kagarise said good-by to his command and personnel at Station Ft. Pierce, and is on his way to a new assignment in Petaluma, CA. There, he will be with the Leadership Training Section and will be traveling around the country putting on training seminars for Coast Guard personnel.
The new Station Commander is CWO David Ladomirak. He comes to Ft. Pierce from Miami where he was manager of the small boats. He has been in the Coast Guard for 19 years and has spent most of his time assigned within the state of Florida. As Commanding Officer of Station Ft. Pierce, his area of responsibility goes from north of the Sebastian Inlet to south of Stuart.
CWO Ladomirak, his wife Claudia and two children will be residing in the Ft. Pierce area.
