American Legion Serve Hot Fish
Contributed by: henry clayton on 7/15/2008

A special thanks to Vice commander Freddie Britt and his hard working crew that was willing to give up their day at the beach to stand over a hot stove to cook fish for the local veterans and their family. This is and event that Charles O. Hines American Legion Post 171 Put on every Forth of July to make sure that every Veteran who wants or need a hot meal will have one. As the crowd grew Vice Commander Britt and his crew fired up more stoves and kept the fish coming until every one was full. There were also plate delivered to the home bound veterans. A shout out also go to the Auxiliary and Auxiliary Jr. they served the hot fish dinners and made sure that every one received a plate. Commander Henry Clayton Sr. Feels this is the Post way of giving back to the community. If you missed it just remember next same place, same time. For God and Country.
