With every one having to tighten their belts to make thing work and to get thing done. The American is no different . We were trying to organize our trip to the American Legion Department of Florida Fall Conference in Orlando and arrange transportation for every one when we received a call Paul Hoit telling us that the Post St. Lucie Veteran Association Had a van and wanted to know if we needed one. (Ain't God Good) We caught our breath took off and met with Ron and the members of the P.S.L. V.A. and the Van was donated to Charles O. Hines American Legion Post 171 and we stopped at Jack Herbert Auto Sales to see if he could recommend some that could change the lettering on the van at an affordable price for us. Jack ( the owner ) just said when do you need it, got on the phone called his friend at Elgein Signs and told him what we needed, then turned and told us to take the van over to Elgein's sign company. He gave us a great deal and had us to bring it back the next day and it only took him about hour and a half and we had our van looking like knew. When we took out our check to pay for it (God was good again) Jack Herbert had pick up the coast of the new lettering. This should have not been a surprise for us because Herbert Auto sales has always been a great help to the veterans in the community. The members of Charles O. Hines American Legion Post 171 thank God and all of those that helped us get on the road. For God and Country.
