December 8, 2007 approximately 22-25 Red Hat ladies and two cute 19 year olds that carried a Red Hat Society banner at the Christmas Parade in Lake Worth. Joanne Jaimedes not only organized the Red Hatters for this parade but also made the cute little costumes from tree skirts that the banner girls wore. They all lined up at 10am on Federal Hwy between 5th and 6th St. North to decorate the cars and the truck prior to the parade. A big Thank you to Jean Ann Duff for the procurement of the four convertibles for the ladies to ride in from Schumacher Automotive Dealership, Northlake Blvd.
They all blew horns and whistled and waved and wished all a very Merry Christmas. There was no way anyone could have missed these women! They looked magnificent decked out in their lovely outfits and the biggest most gorgeous hats. Thanks goes out to Queen Mary, who rode/towed on the trike. The crowd was entertained by her antics as well as Miss Mini, the parade mascot. The drivers were David Scholl and Mac Proctor.
After the parade, they all gathered at the Pegasus Restaurant in Lake Worth for a fabulous home-cooked meal. Pat Schwab had brought a ¼ sheet birthday cake sine one of her chapterettes turned 86 - Frances Lamparelli. Jean Ann checked BUNS of all men in uniform that came to eat. We might add, none were bashful. The owner of the restaurant and the waitresses were spectacular. Again, special thanks to Joanne Jaimedes, Jean Ann Duff and to Schumacher Automotive.
