SANTA VISITS TREASURE COAST RED HATTERS

Santa and two of his elves visited the Treasure Coast Red Hatters at Club Med, Port St. Lucie on December 15, 2007 for a Christmas Celebration. There were 300 Red Hatters in attendance, with their RED HATS, Purple clothes, glitter and boas.

Chapters represented were: Beach Babes, Cherry Charmers, Classie Lassies of the Fairways, Classy Red Foxes, Dolphinette Divas of PSL, Fabulous Floozies, Foxy Red Hatters, Friends to the End of Fort Pierce, Frivilous Flirts, Gems and Roses, Glad Hatters of Vero, Golden Girls of the Treasure Coast, Jazzy Red Hat Divas, Les Femmes en Rouge, Lovely Lakewood Ladies, Lucie Belles, Lucie Goosies, Pampered Pack of Peacocks, Pizazzy Pineapples, Purple Passion Ladies, Rebels with Hatatude, Red Hat Gator Gals, Red Hat Honeys, Red Hat Tomatoes, Red Hatters of SLCCV, Red Hattitudes, Red Hattitudes of PLV, Red Hot Visors of SLW, Rosa Capella, Sassy Lassies, Scarlet Dames, Scarlet Divas, Scarlet Vamps, Tall Pine Needles, Treasure Coast Ruby Red Jewels, and We're Still Red Hot Mamas.

Donna Black, Queen of Scarlet Divas, Alyce Passerelle, Vice Queen of the Scarlet Divas, Eileen Barrett, Queen of Lucie Goosies and Florence Jones, Queen of Dazzling Dames in Red were at the entrance to check everyone in. As the Red Hatters checked in, they donated a gift for Santa's sack and received a ticket from Retha Kraehenbuehl, Queen of Pampered Pack of Peacocks, Kristine Loessin, Vice Queen of Pampered Pack of Peacocks,

Prior to the start of the Christmas program, there were six vendors for one of our favorite pastimes - SHOPPING! Vendors were: Alma Bennet, Shirley Doney, Ann McCormick, Tanya Killibrew, Cynthia Willis, Marvin Serota and Boudrot's Custom Photographers.

Our Mistress of Ceremonies was Shirley Doney, Queen of Friends to the End of Fort Pierce.

Jean Jane Althoff read "Twas the Night Before Christmas at Rock-Away Rest". It was absolutely hilarious!

Favors consisted of Red and Purple Spoons filled with Hershey Kisses and wrapped in Red Cellophane and tied with a purple ribbon. Also everyone received a Red Hat Christmas Ornament.

There was a HUGE Lunch Buffet which consisted of: Tossed Salad, Pasta Salad, Macedoine of Fresh Vegetables, Roast Sirloin of Beef Au Jus, Roast Turkey with Stuffing and Gravy, Cranberry Sauce, New Potatoes with Parsley Butter, Green Beans with Almonds, French Bread & Butter, Cheesecake or Chocolate Mousse. Iced Tea and Coffee. A Cash Bar was also available.

We had a Centerpiece Contest. It was based on "Red Hat Holiday Theme". The winner of the Centerpiece Contest was the Sassy Lassies of Vero Beach. 2nd place winner was the Lucie Belles. Third place winners were the Lucie Goosies.

Santa (Patrick Gordon) and his elves ( Ralph Balzano and ) handed out Christmas presents to all the Red Hat Ladies. They were also our entertainment for this event - as "The Three Tenors".

The Red Hat Split Winner(s) were: Maureen Russo of the Red Hat Honeys of Vero Beach ($100), Susie Mages of the Fabulous Floozies ($100), Donna Black of the Scarlett Divas ($100), Carlyn Russell of the Gator Girls ($50) and Jean Shaw of the Lucie Goosies ($25).

The next Events for the Treasure Coast Red Hatters are a Queens and Vice Queens Luncheon on January 19, 2008 at the Italian Grill in Vero Beach, and a Mardi Gras on February 2, 2008 at the Fort Pierce Elks Lodge.
