FORT PIERCE - The St. Lucie County International Airport is looking for a few good businesses to lease vacant land in its newly created Airport West Commerce Park.
St. Lucie County is currently accepting Request for Proposals for businesses to lease any or all of the six different lots within the 80-acre park. Ranging in size from 5 to 20 acres, these parcels have access to utilities and roads, are located in a Foreign Trade Zone, and may be offered to either aviation or non-aviation businesses. The property is zoned Industrial Light with a future land use designation of Mixed Use.
"We're interesting in attracting companies that can provide an economic boost to the county," said Airport Director Diana Lewis.
The 80-acre park is located on the east side of Kings Highway and a half mile north of St. Lucie Boulevard within the airport property. St. Lucie County International Airport is served by two runways and Customs and Border Protection facilities.
As one of the fastest growing areas in Florida, St. Lucie County desires to attract and retain a quality workforce. St. Lucie County and local municipalities are working together to build a strong and diversified economic base. Local incentives include the Job Growth Investment Grant, Ad Valorem Tax Exemption and Fast-Track Permitting. Business services include assistance with site locations, state and local incentive applications, demographic and labor market information, permitting, job training programs and coordination with locating/expanding your business in St. Lucie County.
Centrally located between Orlando and Miami, St. Lucie County has a wealth of transportation opportunities for businesses from easy access to Interstate 95, the Florida Turnpike and State Road 70 to the 28-foot deep Port of Fort Pierce.
