ST. LUCIE COUNTY HOSTS DAYJET MEETING JULY 29
Contributed by: Erick Gill, SLC Media Relations on 7/16/2008

FORT PIERCE - Members of the business community are encouraged to attend an informational meeting Tuesday, July 29 from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. at Indian River State College's Kight Center regarding the possible expansion of DayJet at the St. Lucie County International Airport.

Organized by the Economic Development Council of St. Lucie County and St. Lucie Chamber of Commerce, this informational meeting will explain what the benefits are of DayJet upgrading its status at the St. Lucie County International Airport from a DayStop to a DayPort.

"One of the concerns I frequently hear from residents is the need for more opportunity for air travel in our community," said St. Lucie County Commission Chairman Joe Smith. "DayJet sees that opportunity here in St. Lucie County and wants to expand their very-light-jet service. Hopefully, the business community will respond in a way so that everyone on the Treasure Coast can benefit."

Based in Boca Raton, DayJet Corporation launched the world's first "Per-Seat, On-Demand" jet service in Florida. DayJet members, which number more than 1,500 business travelers, can use the airline for customized travel aboard DayJet's fleet of Eclipse 500™ very light jets (VLJs). DayJet began a partnership with St. Lucie County International Airport last summer. For more information on DayJet visit: www.dayjet.com.

The DayJet informational meeting will take place in River Room 101 of the Kight Center at Indian River State College, 3209 Virginia Ave., Fort Pierce.
