FORT PIERCE - St. Lucie County's government access channel, SLCTV, will host and broadcast a local candidate forum starting Monday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. for the Nov. 4 general election.
Organized and coordinated by the St. Lucie County League of Women Voters and SLCTV, the candidate forum will feature questions answered by candidates running for St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners (District 1 and 5); Port St. Lucie City Council (District 2 and 4); 19
th Circuit Judge (Group 4), Clerk of Court, Sheriff, Public Defender and State Representative (District 80 and 81).
The public is invited to attend this candidate forum, which will be held in the St. Lucie County Administration Building, Commission Chambers, 2300 Virginia Ave., Fort Pierce, starting at 9 a.m. Oct. 6. The forum will be moderated by Carol Wyatt of WPSL and broadcast on 1590 AM - WPSL.
The forum will not be televised live, but replayed on SLCTV (Comcast 21), starting at 7 p.m. on Oct. 6. WPSL (1590 AM), FPTV (Comcast 27) and PSLTV (Comcast 20) will also rebroadcast the forum. Check

The general election will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 4 with early voting taking place Monday, Oct. 20 through Saturday, Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. For more information about the general election or to see a list of registered candidates and polling places, visit the St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections' website at
