AD HOC COMMITTEE FORMED TO EXPLORE GRAND BAHAMAS

FORT PIERCE - The St. Lucie County Tourist Development Council (TDC) announces the first meeting of the Grand Bahama Island Ad Hoc committee established to strengthen and capitalize on opportunities arising from St. Lucie County's recent tourism and economic development partnership with Grand Bahama Island, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 14, following the regular monthly TDC meeting.

The ad hoc committee will serve in an advisory capacity to the St. Lucie County Tourist Development Council and will be charged with developing and implementing viable economic development strategies and special events. The committee members are from a wide cross-section of industries within the County, as well as city employees.

The first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. in Conference Room 3 of the Roger Poitras Administration Annex, 2300 Virginia Ave. The meetings will occur on the second Wednesday of each month at 2 p.m. or as needed. All meetings are open to the public.
