FORT PIERCE - The Lawnwood Skate Park on Virginia Avenue is temporarily closed for maintenance, effective immediately.

The St. Lucie County Parks and Recreation staff had to close the skate park today to remove graffiti that was painted inside the 15,000-square-foot concrete skate park between Sunday night and early this morning.

County staff hopes to have the skate park re-opened by the end of the week.
