New Horizons is pleased to announce that Patricia Daum has recently joined the organization as Director of Fund Development.
"We are very fortunate to have Pat join the New Horizons team," said CEO John Romano. "She is the perfect combination for our organization...a successful fundraising professional with mental health experience."
The new director has an extensive background in fundraising, including a 12 year career with United Way. She recently served 4 1/2 years with the United Way of Martin County where she was Director of Major Gifts and Director of the United Way Foundation. She also worked for six years with the Mental Health Association in Memphis, TN as Executive Director and Director of Development.
As New Horizons moves forward with plans to build a children's crisis center, Daum will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the capital campaign. She will also be in charge of developing an annual fund raising program and communications plan for the organization.
"I feel like my career has come full circle," said Daum. "I have always had a soft spot in my heart for children's programs and when New Horizons approached me about this desperately needed children's crisis center, I couldn't say no."
New Horizons of the Treasure Coast, Inc. is the primary provider of behavioral health services for adults and children in Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee, and St. Lucie counties. Daum may be contacted at 772-468-4076 or
