Educational is Magical
St. Lucie County Education Foundation's 10th Annual Foundation Ball
Saturday, October 24 at 6:00 p.m. at the Pelican Yacht Club
The St. Lucie County Education Foundation Ball is a gala that is a delightful evening of fun. The Foundation turns the fun into college scholarships, classroom grants, and teacher recognition. It just doesn't get much better than that.
The dedicated and hard-working Ball committee members are led by Executive Director Mary Holmgren. Joining her on this year's magic carpet ride are Debbie Langley, Janice Sizemore, Susan Helms-Smith, Sarah Lloyd, Laura Reilly, Danielle Biglin, Beth Hoskins, Bridgette Abernethy, Donna Benton and Sue-Ellen Sanders.
The Premiere Sponsor for this Enchanted Evening is Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies whose presence in our county is high-profile and beneficial. Dr. and Mrs. Houghten are ardent supporters of education, and they will be in the Pelican to welcome guests on October 24th. Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on beautiful gifts provided by each school in the county. The guests can bid for vacation trips, paintings and photographs by famous artists, a wine lottery, and many other magical items.
Call Mary Holmgren at 429-5505 if you want to experience the magic of education and help our students learn to discover the magic within themselves.
