During Maya's battle with cancer she and her mom spoke about what good could come from her being so sick. Together they decided that once she was well they would visit other kids with cancer, bringing them toys and little trinkets to help brighten their days. Maya Matters was created to fulfill both, Maya's plans to help brighten the lives of other childrenwith cancer and to pass along the love, support, and generosity her family received during her illness.
In memory of Maya, her mother has put together a board to start a non-profit company to do just as Maya wished. We are having an art auction October 9th at Pantherwoods. Tickets are only $15 included is wine, appetizers, and soda along with your bidding card for the art. We are trying to make this a successful first event. The name of the company is Maya Matters, Inc. We are the helping hand for children with cancer. From the board of Maya Matters, Inc, we truly appreciate all of the support you can provide.
