FORT PIERCE - The Fort Pierce Branch Library presents author Connie Thompson Titus on Saturday, Sept. 6 from 1 - 3 p.m., who will be discussing and signing her book, "Her Doctor Prescribes Dancing at Daybreak."
"Her Doctor Prescribes Dancing at Daybreak" concentrates on the doctor-patient relationship and recounts Titus' battle with cancer. The story is told through banter, debate, affection and even the silence as written down in the form of personal letters penned over a 10-year period. Doctor and patient bond together to accomplish hard work, yet zany humor pops up causing wild and merry disarray in a professional setting.
Before becoming an author, Titus juggled secretarial positions, parenting, housekeeping and church-wide commitments until 1997. She now embraces the full-time job of staying alive.
This event is free and open to the pubic. The author will have autographed copies of her book, "Her Doctor Prescribes Dancing at Daybreak," available for $20 with 10 percent of the sales going to the Friends of the St. Lucie County Library Association.
The Fort Pierce Branch of the St. Lucie County Library System is located at 101 Melody Lane. For more information, call (772) 462-2787.
