The Vero Beach Kiwanis Club awarded a total of $1500.00 in college scholarships to two local high school seniors, Debi Gray of Vero Beach High School and Joseph Cicco of John Carroll High School. Each student was presented a check for $750.00. A presentation ceremony and luncheon for the students and their families was held on June 21 at TGI Friday's restaurant in Vero Beach. The awards were presented by Vito Marchese, Kiwanis club president, Gina Melton, treasurer, and Diane Dzadony, scholarship committee chair. The scholarships were based on outstanding volunteer history, academics, and character. The Vero Beach Kiwanis Club is dedicated to serving the needs of local children.
