The St. Lucie County Education Foundation receives $3,000 for Liberty Classroom Grant.
Dolores Rodriguez, Executive Assistant to Keith Jones, COO for Liberty Medical/Medco Health Solutions, Inc. presented the St. Lucie County Education Foundation with a check for $3,000, Tuesday, September 22. These funds will be granted to teachers for creative and innovative projects to enhance existing curricula. In addition to the grant, Liberty employees donated school supplies to two district schools at the beginning of the year.
The objective of this project is to work together as community members for a common goal of promoting, encouraging and recognizing excellence in public education through generous partnerships such as this one with Liberty Medical.
"When we started our Community Involvement Committee this year, one of our first initiatives was to make sure we support our schools," commented Dolores Rodriguez, who also serves as Committee Chair at Liberty Medical. "We are delighted to support the St. Lucie County Education Foundation and hope our donation will go a long way to assist the students and teachers in the community."
