FORT PIERCE - The Savannas Recreation Area off Midway Road presents "The Savannas at Sunset Evening Canoe Tour" on Friday, July 18 from 7 - 9 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to take this opportunity to observe elusive, nocturnal wildlife in a safe environment as you paddle on a guided canoe tour of the county-managed Savannas park. The cost to participate is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

Located at 1400 E. Midway Road in Fort Pierce, the Savannas Recreation Area is a 550-acre park open seven days a week from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. for overnight camping, RVs, hiking, fishing, bird watching and kayak/canoe rentals.
