FORT PIERCE - The St. Lucie County Library System announces the topics and dates for the Interactive Nature Series with Captain and Audubon Warden Chop Legé for the month of October.
Sponsored by the Marine Resources Council and the St. Lucie County Mosquito Control District, these monthly programs are free and open to everyone.
· Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 1:30 p.m. at the Morningside Branch Library: "Creatures of the Lagoon."
· Thursday, Oct. 9 at 3 p.m. at the Fort Pierce Branch Library: "Birds, Butterflies and Bobcats."
· Friday, Oct. 10 at 1:30 p.m.: "Walk and Talk" tour at Bear Point Sanctuary, 2601 S. Ocean Drive, Fort Pierce. Participants will need to meet the captain at the gates of the park, located on the west side of A1A on South Hutchinson Island.
· Thursday, Oct. 23 at 3 p.m. at the Fort Pierce Branch Library: "Life in the River."
· Friday, Oct. 24 at 1:30 p.m.: "Walk and Talk" tour at Vitolo Family Park, 3701 South Ocean Drive, Fort Pierce. Participants will need to meet the captain at the gates of the park, located on the west side of A1A on South Hutchinson Island.
