4th of July Rainy Day Fun

Every year as I was growing up in New England, my family celebrated the Fourth of July with a New England clambake with lobster, steamed clams, corn on the cob, and sparklers at dusk. We have continued this tradition with our two sons--Shane, 9, and Liam, 5--Native Floridians. We usually enjoy our picnic outside, but this year the rain poured down. We set up our feast indoors, and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The rain stopped just in time to wrap up our evening with sparklers.
